What's on my SteamDeck: 2023

Here's what I've been playing the most on my SteamDeck this year.

Vampire Survivors

This rogue-like game is chaotic, but a lot fun. It is repetitive, without feeling repetitive with each run taking a fresh approach. It's also easy to pick up for a quick run.

Dave the Diver

I've been playing since the early release, and really enjoy it. It combines scuba fishing, running a sushi restaurant, and farmin fish and rice/vegetables. It's a wonderful game I play when I need a pick-me-up.

Dead Cells

This list is heavy with games that are quick to pick up. Dead Cells is no exception, and is a really fun platformer. With all the expansions, there's many branches of levels you can take, making each run feel new. The weapon and level up system is really fun to dive into specialties based on your play style.

PlateUp!

This game takes Overcooked and adds kitchen design to the mix. You design your kitchen and strategically buy upgrades as you aim to stay open for 15 days. It's a rogue light with a timing and cooking aspect which is great for quick games.

Potion Permit

I've long since experienced everything Stardew Valley has to offer, and Potion Permit filles the void. It's a cute pixel game where you play a healer that just moved to town. You run the local hospital and collect ingredients to make potions. There's a lot of fun quests and interesting characters.

Slay the Spire

I love card-based games, and Slay the Spire is a great rogue like game. You select a character with a unique battle approach, and play your cards to the end. Another great game for a quick pick up.

Sea of Stars

This game has mixed reviews online, but I'm rather enjoying my casual playthrough. It's a pixel RPG game with a charming battle experience and story.

Stardew Valley

Even though I've beaten this game in every direction imaginable, I still return for fun playthroughs or custom runs. I never grow tired of the Valley!

Tetris Effect: Connected

This is an HD twist on Tetris, and I eat it up.
